The Chief Secretary who chaired the 4th Governing Council meeting of the Telangana Satellite Network (T-SAT<\/a>), directed the officials to design a new logo which should be more attractive and catchy. While appreciating T-SAT's efforts in providing online classes to school and college students in the state during the Covid lockdown, Somesh Kumar said the departments of Agriculture, Education, Women and Child Welfare, Youth and Panchayat Raj, etc should develop the content and produce knowledge-based programs on their respective disciplines and telecast through T-SAT.
He directed the T-SAT officials to design templates for creation of content by various departments so that it will be easier for them to create audio-visual programs on their respective activities through SoftNet and telecast through T-SAT.
<\/div><\/div>The CS suggested that programs should be designed mainly for benefit of the farmers on alternative crops, oil palm cultivation, greenery, animal husbandry, etc and also to focus on Panchayat Raj activities such as village development, infrastructure creation, village financial resource augmentation.
He also emphasized the need to develop more programs on preparation for competitive examinations<\/a> for youth, career development, academic proficiency, etc. He said that programs should be formulated on issues like ban on cannabis cultivation and drug abuse. He asked the officials to strengthen production capacities required in the T-SAT. He also clarified that in addition to designing and broadcasting programs, the network should also develop self-financing resources.
